Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Infant Aquatics (‘we’ and ‘us’) uses and protects any information that you give when you interact with Infant Aquatics via our website, mailing lists or booking a course with us. Infant Aquatics is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We process personal client data to facilitate the bookings of our lessons and courses. We will not share your information with any third party unless required to do so by legal requirement.

Infant Aquatics may change this policy by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from June 2018.

We may collect the following information:

  • your name
  • your child’s name & DOB
  • contact information including email address
  • demographic information such as telephone numbers and postcodes
Internal record keeping

Current swimmers receive newsletters about our lessons and other related information via booking contact details. This information is kept as a secure electronic file and is only shared within our swim school for the period of your enrolment. All new enquiry data via our website is kept for 2 weeks with an ‘opt in’ facility to receive our newsletter. Previous customers will occasionally receive our newsletter updates which you are welcome to ‘opt out’ of by clicking the link on the newsletter.

Our mailing lists

Our mailing lists are stored via secure third- party cloud email clients whose privacy policies are available upon request. Data stored in these applications contains the following information only:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address

We keep the number of communications we send to a minimum and will only send you information related to the following: – Booking reminders – Infant Aquatics Newsletters – Offers and promotion

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online

Protecting your data

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Data retention

We do not hold your data any longer than is necessary to provide you with our services or to comply with applicable law. We would expect to retain, store and use your data for the lifespan of your children’s swim journey with us, or for the duration of any lessons and courses you attend. Whilst we do not place a specific timeframe on the retention of our personal data, we periodically review our records and remove, edit, archive or delete data we deem surplus to requirements. Infant Aquatics is also required, by law, to retain financial information relating to its business practices for up to 7 years.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • to be provided with access to your personal data held by us;
  • to request the rectification or erasure of your personal data held by us;
  • to object to the collection of your data and request that we cease processing your data;
  • to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data while we investigate your concerns with this information;
